Well, we survived the trip to Omaha and back. There were rough moments in the trip but also a lot of great times. We created many memories with our family and tightened our bonds with Grandma Vicki, Ian, Ron, Aunt Pegi, Uncle Waylan and Dylan & Tyler. Henry found a new best buddy in his Unlce Waylan. Early in our trip Henry started calling Waylan "Big Guy" and the name stuck! It was very cute! Everywhere we went there was a little voice calling out for "Big Guy"!
It was a hectic wedding, with the basic refrain being "Sooo, what's the plan?". There was just a constant stress of trying to figure out who was supposed to be where and when. It was crazy! Even though it was exhausting, the kids really had a lot of fun and so did we. But it was a relief when we were on the road headed home!
Henry was adorable walking down the aisle as the ring bearer. He was wearing a full tux with tails--holy mackeral, he was cute! He was very patient with all the picture taking and waiting and such that went on with a wedding.
Charlie and Jackie did not understand why Henry was getting so much stuff and attention that they were not. Henry got a special ring bearer t-shirt of which Charlie was very jealous of (you know how Charlie is about clothing). And then at the rehearsal dinner Henry also got a gift for being in the wedding. That was a little hard for the boys to swallow, especially Jackie!
However, come the reception CHarlie and Jackie stole the show! Those boys are dancing fiends, especially Charlie! They were tearing up the dance floor! Dancing with both the adorable flower girls (especially Lucy, who had quite the crush on Jackies...in fact, Jackie recieved his first kiss at Uncle Matt's wedding by the flower girl,Lucy!). CHarlie was showing off his crazy moves--Ellen would be proud, including knee slides across the dance floor. He cried bitterly when we dragged him off the dance floor at 10:30pm!
