Then we went to church and every year at Trinity the children put flowers all over our cross to symbolize the life that came from death.
After that we tried to get them to sit for some nice pictures, but as usual it was nearly impossible!

Easter 2009
So Jeremy and I had a long conversation the other night, and we decided that were going to tell the kids that the Easter Bunny was not real. We really want our kids to understand that Easter is about Jesus dying on the cross and rising again. We did give them some great gifts. We are going to the beach for Charlie and my birthdays so the kids got to awesome sets of sand toys. They also got Speed Racer fishing rods (from Ollie's, 5 bucks each!) and they each got a kite. They were happy!

yup, we try to have the easter bunny baskets dropped off on Saturday so that Sunday can be focused on the resurrection of Christ. and actually just like we did at Christmas, we told Maddy that the Easter bunny (and Santa) isn't real, but a fun thing to pretend. she doesn't care. she says she'll believe in it a little longer. lol.
my parents aren't too happy we ruined the 'magical lie' but whatever hee hee
your lucky you got some photos, I didn't get ANY photos of the kids together in their Easter dress!!
